Job Summary:
Assistant to handle day-to-day tasks related to the running of a small literary PR and marketing firm. The right candidate will have a careful attention to detail, a willingness to learn and pitch in wherever help is required, the ability to work independently when needed and on team projects. Day-to-day tasks include helping to maintain our media database, packing and shipping materials, media research to support publicists, supporting social media and marketing work for clients and the business, and administrative support as needed. P1M is a small firm and other tasks may be assigned as needed. We are seeking candidates located within the NY tri-state area. This hybrid position has occasional in-office responsibilities in Brooklyn and/or a workspace in Manhattan.

Job Requirements:
College degree is not required but excellent phone manner, communication skills, and professional etiquette is required. The right candidate will be self-motivated and detail oriented with the ability to work independently and take direction smoothly. Strong writing skills are required as is the ability to take constructive feedback. Must be well organized and able to prioritize and juggle multiple on-going tasks. Familiarity with MS Office Suite is necessary. Familiarity with PR databases like Cision or Muck Rack or with design software like Canva are a plus.
