Bespoke literary PR and/or marketing campaigns starting no less than six months in advance of publication date. Each book campaign includes print, online, radio, and when appropriate TV outreach, to journalists and producers at all appropriate outlets for your book. P1M does not conduct publicity campaigns for self-publishing authors.
These campaigns are designed for authors, academics, researchers, and experts in any field. Campaigns run a minimum of twelve weeks and do not need to be tied specifically to the publication date of a book. Expert campaigns typically consist of help with oped ideation, editing, and pitching, broad outreach to news producers, hosts, and journalists, and tailored outreach to subject area journalists, radio shows and podcasts. Many of our expert campaign clients choose to remain on retainer after the initial positioning campaign is complete to continue building their position as a subject area expert in the media.
Marketing campaigns can include social media strategy and support, social media influencer outreach, big mouth outreach, outreach to politicians and subject area influencers, digital marketing including advertising, website strategy and blog support, newsletter building, giveaways, and collaboration and strategy to manage the author side of in-house marketing campaigns.

Sarah Russo is available for a limited number of consultation meetings per month. Small independent and university presses typically ask her questions about audience engagement, social media, marketing, and publicity. We can discuss and brainstorm ideas for specific campaigns, series launches, how to better reach influencers and build relationships with the media. We can get granular and talk about planning a media trip to New York and how to best utilize that time and who to meet with, how to stand out in a very crowded media field for book reviews, how think about their publishing timeline and best plan around the competition, and so much more. Schedule a publisher consultation.
